Seattle Superior Court Judge David Soukup, not unlike his contemporaries, found himself having to make decisions on behalf of abused and neglected children based on little to no information. So, in 1977, he forged the idea of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children. Today, there are more than 70,000 volunteers serving in 1,018 program offices nationwide, advocating in court for these children, so that they can thrive in safe, permanent homes. It was a honor to be working with CASA, galvanizing their brand story, revitalizing their recruitment, fundraising and advocacy communications.
